Hey everyone! The past couple of days have been pretty busy for us preparing the chalets for guests (my first group arrive on wednesday next week, a big group of 16 people!!). All the chalets we are working in are great and yesterday Becky cooked for all the staff in her chalet, tasty rosti garlic potatoes!
I don't want to spend the whole season putting up pictures of houses covered in snow so I will get that bit out the way at the end of this post today!
So this is a view on the way to work!
I will also work on changing the look of this blog a bit later on so that it is more ours.
The weather for the first few days here was intense snow! Everything was covered in fresh white powder that was sometimes up to your waist! Since yesterday it has been raining on and off in the town but once you get on the lifts up to the slopes I have been told that it is perfectly snowy again.
GoPro have updated their camera firmware so the app for the phones will now work on it and its AMAZING! so easy to frame shots better when you have a live view of what the camera sees on your phone.
we have a whole bunch of pictures already so might make a photobucket account for us so that people who want to look at loads of pictures of snow or of us falling over can do without them being shoved down your throat on here!
The people we are working with are great and I'm sure you have seen the pictures of us all on facebook but I wanted to put one up here too.
Here is a shot of the team for this season
Last night after dinner at Becky's we dropped the car back at the apartment and walked into town to go to the dixie bar, I had a little too much and had to be carried home, safe to say that with today being our first chance to get on the slopes i was more than a little disappointed when I couldn't move more than 10 feet from my bed without needing to run to the bathroom. Ah well at least I didn't have to get up and serve breakfast today!
And here is a small bunch of pictures from our adventure so far :)
P.S. the internet broke so I had to post this a day later than when I wrote it!
See you soon
Ant
